Welcome to Supperland!
Located in a restored mid-century church in Plaza Midwood, Charlotte, North Carolina, Supperland will be a southern meat and sides restaurant—think steakhouse with unusual, whimsical inspiration from our church building itself.
Listen, it’s COVID times and we have opted to not open until the health of our community is in a better place. But for now, you can get a little taste of this place in your own home… by shopping our plates!
Our custom design plates are truly one of a kind. Owners Jeff Tonidandel & Jamie Brown dreamed of having a unique dining experience in this special place, so they worked with London artist, Lou Rota, to come up with artwork that colorfully depicts southern birds, flowers and vegetation. These plates are manufactured by Villeroy & Boch exclusively for Supperland. You can buy them in packaged sets for your own home—and some day, when the skies clear, you can eat from them here in our dining room.
When we can open, there will be a lot to find here at Supperland. Our grounds extend across two old church buildings and include: our expansive main dining room; a more intimate space in the Bar at Supperland; a vibrant southern garden; our private wine room (in the basement of the large building); a wide outdoor patio; and a champagne nook at the base of the stairs in the large building. You might even stumble upon other spaces to enjoy your time.
Restoring an old building is never an easy task—especially when that building is getting turned into a restaurant. But with an incredible team and unique vision, this place has come back to life in a new way. Learn about the history of our Property here.
